Simultaneously, a work outline is also traced out to defy obstacles and successfully complete the job.

Following the initial discussion, you receive a Welcome Packet that contains the Contract, Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Agreement and Client Questionnaire. Soon after, a phone conversation is set up to gather more information on the first task that needs to be executed.

A couple points on their website confused me. The first was their 400 sq. foot office space with 25 desks. That seems like very cramped quarters and I’m guessing one of those figures is a typo.

The other point was that they provide support 6 days a week, but then on the very next line claim to be available 24/7.

There are no contracts or long-term commitments. Over time, if your business needs require an upgrade into more hours of support or a higher level plan, VAI ensures that you go through a no-hassle process, in case you need to upgrade or downgrade your plan.

In that case, my suggestion would probably be to start small to minimize your risk, and upgrade as needed. The only challenge would be when your VA is already committed to other clients and can’t add more hours for your work.

With communication between VAs and business owners being one of the top complaints I hear, it’s refreshing to see this is one of their top priorities.

Much like most virtual assistant companies, TaskAffair is quick to point out that their team of VAs can handle a wide range of tasks. They list admin assistance, data entry, preparing spreadsheets, scheduling appointments, handling emails, expense management, online research, travel assistance, CRM, social media, bookkeeping, calendar management, and transcription among their key skill sets.

As an early mover in the world of personal outsourcing, Tasks Everyday has received a lot of positive press, exposing new potential customers to the possibilities of hiring a virtual assistant.

If I was in a rush, the unprofessional look would have been a quick excuse to eliminate them from my search, so it’s good to see they’ve done some work there.

I found the auto-play videos annoying (although the testimonials are good), an encountered some pages with keyword-stuffed title tags a mile long. Their company blog was once a depository for pure nonsense garbage content, but has since been cleaned up considerably. This is the first impression they’re making to potential customers, and it was probably enough to have most running in the opposite direction.

Among the services that Tasks Everyday virtual assistants specialize in are your typical online research tasks, bookkeeping, appointment making, and email and phone customer support tasks. Beyond that however, Tasks Everyday also provides expertise in database management, web design, website maintenance, and sales and marketing.

Plans and Pricing

Tasks Everyday charges around $7 an hour for their services, and although this is not particularly clear on their website, offer an array of plans depending on the how many hours you expect to use. You can even hire a Tasks Everyday virtual assistant without an ongoing commitment, if you just need a specific one-time project completed.

Their rates certainly compare favorably with hiring full time staff in the US, but of course there are challenges with managing any remote worker.

Another nice thing about Tasks Everyday is that you are assigned a dedicated virtual assistant, so you can build a relationship with one person. Your virtual assistant will be available 5 days a week in the time zone of your choosing; the Mumbai office operates several shifts and is open 24 hours a day.

Tasks Everyday Alternatives

For more transparent pricing options, you might consider My Tasker, which is one of many other virtual assistant companies in India.

One bit of disclosure: On two occasions Tasks Everyday customers have left negative comments here, only to ask them be removed a few days later.  Normally when the companies themselves ask, I decline and ask them instead to respond to the accusations publicly.  But when customers ask, I tend to honor that request because I would want other webmasters to do the same for me.

The complaints centered on poor communication (both in language and timing), and poor quality of work — specifically related to web development.  I don’t have the full story in either case but can speculate that having the negative reviews removed was part of some parting-ways negotiation with the company.

Hiring a virtual assistant is a big decision, and Get Friday offers a 7 day free trial period to ease some of that anxiety. If you’re not happy with the service, just cancel without any obligation.

One thing I noticed when opening my Get Friday account is the sign-up process is kind of a pain. They make you do a phone verification, which is automated but something normally reserved for banks. Then you have to print, sign, and fax (or email) back a copy of the contract. I haven’t seen those kinds of sign-up requirements from any other VA company.

He officially launched the company in March, and to-date has assembled a team of 13 staff based in their Chennai office.

The company also has developers and designers based in Berlin and the US working remotely.

One thing I thought was a little shady was on their website, their client list looked eerily similar Zirtual’s. And by eerily similar, I mean exactly the same. Take a look and see what you think.

When I called them on this, they quickly updated the image, but if they’re faking their social proof how can we know they’re going to be honest in other areas of their business?

Services

According to Alex Michael, who heads up Business Development for Buizoffiz, the company’s unique selling proposition is in their extensive list of services. While a lot of virtual assistant companies summarize their services or put them under general headers, Buizoffiz lists all the individual services they cover, giving prospective clients the confidence that they handle the exact tasks they are looking to outsource.

The company supplies virtual assistants who are trained in a wide range of areas, and handle tasks like calendar management, research and reservations, bookkeeping, and managing your inbox. 

I also appreciated them specifically listing out the tasks they DON’T do, like content creation, design, inbound call answering, sales, or SEO.

They are also planning to launch a new service called Analytics. This is a service targeted at small companies who can’t or do not have their own in-house business analyst. Their Analytics service pulls raw data from the client and processes it through their own dashboard, giving the client a clear summary of their information without the need for their own systems or any technical knowledge.

Plans and Pricing

Buizoffiz have four different pricing plans to choose from.

The Basic package starts at $350 a month and is targeted at individual business owners who are starting to outsource some tasks. For this price you get 40 hours of virtual assistant time covering secretarial, administrative, bookkeeping, and content creation. You get your own dedicated assistant with Skype support.

The Standard package is $700 a month, and is targeted at busy professionals. This package offers all the services in the basic package along with 80 hours of time and graphic design support.

While their Business package is $1000 a month and tailored for small companies and startups. This package gives you 120 hours of assistant time with the added features of transcribing and BBM/Whatsapp support.

One interesting element is they also offer a pay-as-you-go option that’s listed at $2 per task, which would be cheaper than Fancy Hands and similar to Efficise, but without the monthly subscription.

This allows the client the flexibility to submit tasks on an ad-hoc basis and pay for the amount of tasks they submit.

Aside from Fancy Hands and Efficise mentioned above, I see companies like It’s VA Time and VA Talks with a similar suite of services.

Their web development team specialize in maintaining and building websites. They have a dedicated mobile app development team, which is a service not offered by many virtual assistant companies. Finally they have a SEO and SMM department, ideal for outsourcing your social media accounts.

For their virtual assistant service, eLuminous Technologies charges a flat rate of $7 per/hr, and have six fixed packages to choose from.

Their entry package includes 20 hours of virtual assistant time, with their other packages offering 40, 80, 120 and 160 hours. They also have a WordPress and CMS support package, aimed at businesses wanting ongoing website support.

When paying for a package you are purchasing a number of hours. The hours will be used up as your tasks are completed, and you can keep an eye on the progress.

When I asked eLuminous what sets them apart from their competitors, they cited their 15 day money back guarantee, quality of service and flexible payment options.

The virtual assistant marketplace is a competitive and crowded one. If you’re looking at virtual assistant companies based in India I’d look at My Tasker or VMG BPO as viable alternatives.

They offer similar pricing and it’s worth getting a custom quote from more than one company with your task requirements.

They don’t offer the usual wide range of virtual assistant services you’d expect from a virtual assistant company, instead specializing in providing virtual assistants to business in the real estate industry.

I think it’s good to see a company offering experienced VAs in a particular niche. It makes the process of evaluating if the skillsets match up with your tasks a little easier.

As you can see from the above their virtual assistants are skilled and experienced primarily in the real estate industry. UrBackOffices isn’t the kind of VA company that provides general virtual assistants for everyday tasks for a growing business.

This gives real estate companies that added peace of mind that they are in the hands of experienced assistants that will be familiar with the industry jargon and practices. It’s still always good practice to ask a lot of questions and be as thorough as possible when communicating your needs however. This will ensure you have the best possible understanding and working relationship with your virtual assistant.

UrBackOffices has three different price plans.

They are Starter, Standard, and Professional. All of the plans offer all of the services as mentioned above, the difference being the amount of hours in each plan. Remplo enables small business owners and entrepreneurs to outsource tasks to their team of virtual assistants. The company has a large team of hand-picked virtual assistants (primarily based in Sri Lanka) with a range of skills to meet their clients’ needs.

Being in the virtual assistant space for that long and still going strong is testament to a good reputation and a lot of satisfied clients. The company is headed up by Roshana Mallawaarachchi, and their target customers are small businesses and entrepreneurs.

They claim to have worked with over 1,000 clients, and saved them time by having their skilled virtual assistants handle their tasks at a cost effective and competitive rate. 

Roshana pointed out that they have, “minimized issues associated in working with staff in autonomous and distant locations by keeping the contractors accountable and productive no matter where they are working from in the world.” That’s a mouthful, right?

He added that their hiring process utilizes a 10-step process designed by Richard Branson’s former executive assistant.

Remplo’s assistants are located in Sri Lanka, with sales offices in Australia and the UK.

Services

The company provides clients with VAs ready to tackle any day-to-day tasks a business owner would look to outsource. They do however group their virtual assistants’ skill sets into six categories as follows:

One potential customer service hiccup: their “live chat” widget said they were online (“We are here!”), but after several minutes of no response to my message, it said no agents were available.

Remplo has three easy to understand pricing plans.

Their Startup Plan costs $120. For this you get 20 hours of VA time @$6/hr to be used within one year.

Their Small Business Plan costs $400 for 80 hours of time, giving you a reduced hourly rate of $5/hr.

Their Dedicated Plan is $640 for 160 hours of time or $4/hr.

$640 for a full-time dedicated assistant is among the lowest rate I’ve seen. (Most other overseas virtual assistant companies charge in the $1000 per month range.) One reason for this is the lower overhead; Remplo assistants work from their home offices instead of from a dedicated call center-type cubicle farm.

As is common, the more hours you pay for upfront the better hourly rate you secure. All of their plans comes with a free consultation and setup to familiarize yourself with the company, and you can choose to have a dedicated virtual assistant.

There are no long-term contracts and each plan comes with a 30-day money back guarantee.

Remplo Alternatives

Among Remplo’s top competitors are companies like My Tasker and TaskBullet, but you’ll pay a slightly higher hourly rate at either of those.

Remplo has been in business for a long time and they do have a lot of experience in the virtual assistant space which goes a long way. I always recommend doing some due diligence and making contact with companies to see how they fit with your needs.

There is often a good deal of negotiating space with virtual assistant companies, and only after explaining your business and your own requirements can you gauge how well-matched the relationship is going to be.

Neyox has a number of guiding principles. One that stood out to me was, “At Neyox, customer satisfaction is essential to our success. We always first understand the customer’s requirement and deliver it flawlessly to achieve complete customer.”

It’s always reassuring to hear companies saying all the right things.

My suggestion would be to reach out to two or three companies on your short list and see how you like your interactions with them. Will they let you interview your prospective assistant(s) in advance? Do they have someone on their team who can handle your specific needs?
